Job Description:
Metric Design is an award-winning interior design studio based in Saskatoon, SK. We work across residential and commercial scales, and we are known for building projects that are technically precise, aesthetically considered, and executed without ambiguity. Our team mantra is simple: Clarity first. Design second. Execution always.
We are growing our studio and we are looking for a Technical Designer who takes real pride in the quality and precision of their work. This is not a decorating role. It is a documentation, visualization, and technical execution role for someone who understands that a great drawing package is what separates a good project from a great one.
About the Role
You will work directly within the design team to produce construction-ready documentation, rendered visuals, and coordinated drawing packages across residential and commercial projects. You will receive a clear design direction and your role is to execute it with accuracy, speed, and professionalism.
You are someone who does not need to be told twice. You take a brief, you understand the intent, and you produce work that is clean, dimensionally accurate, and ready to go to a contractor or client without a round of cleanup. That quality of output is what we are building our studio around.
What You Will Do
Produce complete drawing packages: floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, sections, and construction details
Prepare product and specification documents for client presentations.
Track delegated tasks, help organize deliverables, and support project timelines.
Coordinate supplier information and project materials under team direction.
Create high-quality 3D renderings and visualisations that sell the design intent clearly to clients and contractors
Collaborate with lead designers to translate design concepts into precise, build-ready documentation
Manage and maintain project files, drawing sets, and design libraries with consistency across all projects
Support proposal preparation by contributing visuals and technical content
Conduct or support site visits as required for measurement verification and design coordination
Uphold Metric’s documentation standards on every project, every time
What We Offer
A studio environment that is professional, collaborative, and genuinely invested in growing well
Exposure to both residential and commercial project scales
Clear roles, structured processes, and a team that holds a high standard
Competitive salary commensurate with experience
The opportunity to contribute to a studio that is building something worth building
Work Environment
Full-time, in-person, Monday to Friday 8:00–4:30 PM.
Occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Office and occasional local site visits.
Some light lifting or material handling during sourcing, deliveries or installs.
Positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment.
